I Want To Divorce My Ego…
Why? Because I don’t want to identify with my egoic self. That’s the part of me that makes life harder…when everything is truly ok and good, my ego nitpicks, takes inventory on what it’s getting back, judges everything it can, then circulates it’s toxic waste through my brain (left side), and brings me down, makes me feel unhappy, bad, sad, worried, scared, insecure, anxious, doubtful, clingy, fake…ewwwww!
I’m taking over and showing my ego who’s really in charge!
There’s an essence to us all that is our pure self…this is what Eckharte Tolle refers to that part of us we find when we are still. I now know and try to remember that when I feel angry, frustrated, jealous, blah… it’s my ego that is feeling hurt, not me. The more I practice just waiting for my ego to finish feeling dramatically victimized, the closer I get to being someone I like. I enjoy a good stare-down when I catch it sneaking up on me…sometimes I don’t realize that it’s invaded my thoughts, but when I consciously awaken in the present moment, I look it straight on, with hands on my hips, tapping my foot and wait for the negative feelings to disappear…yes, I get my tushy back in the saddle again…
“The things that most people do not understand, is that you get to control the way you feel, because you get to choose the thoughts you think.”, simply & beautifully stated from a Abraham-Hicks daily quote.
Kabbalah shows us that challenges are given to us as opportunities to transform our nature so that we can meet these situations head-on with acceptance & love in order to elevate our souls to a higher (better) place…this is an example of why life feels difficult sometimes…our ego’s have ego’s and our ego’s get insulted…good! The more we practice waiting for our ego’s feelings to get over itself, the happier we will feel…then we can do some good. We’re pretty useless if we allow ourselves to be swallowed up by our ego’s.
These ideas used with The Law of Attraction, offers us a mini-manual of how we can use our situations, our consciousness, our feelings and our minds to create lives for ourselves that make sense, and feel good.
Find your most golden self…
