Do we need to label & judge situations in our minds & call them problems or mistakes? I don’t know, but we do it, even if we don’t want to. Can we turn off or at least control our crazy internal yackity yacking mind, if it’s causing us to get in our own way? Absolutely! We have full & total control over our thoughts.

I think in our culture we’re taught to be hard on ourselves, but it doesn’t do any good. There’s a lot of repair that needs to take place, after the fallout. That’s why our free will is so amazing. With it comes free thinking, and with that we can guide our thoughts in a direction that makes sense for us. With our ability to do that, we can take the edge off our feelings by converting a judgmental negative thought toward a problem into a gentler, more compassionate one by knowing that life is all about dealing with a variety of situations. If we don’t spook ourselves, we’ll then have a better chance at finding the best solutions while successfully learning how to navigate through life. Then we can free up our creative minds for other purposeful things.

Believe you can, then you can!

Recycling, using fuel efficient, non-toxic, ’safe for the environment’ products is what we need to do in our daily lives to create a better world. Hoorah! That’s not the whole picture. There exists a metaphysical world that we cannot see (without a microscope), but we can feel & sense. We know when we’ve entered a toxic negative zone. Eww! (FYI: I go bye-bye).

I’ll try everyday to add & connect to the positive collective energy that exists in our environment…by taking responsibility for my own happiness, being kind, having compassion and sharing that feeling of joy.

Recently Oprah expressed to the press that she can’t believe she’s gained weight again. That surprised me! Yes, she’s just like us in that way, where we’re all a little insecure ’bout somethin’…on our bodies! But I wish, wish, wish that she’d stop focusing on her weight because those thoughts are destructive, no matter who you are! She has so much to offer, and she continues to be generous, but she can do so much more, if her mind wasn’t occupied & distracted with negative thoughts, about her looks. She’s beautiful no matter what her size is!

In the 21st Century, isn’t it amazing that our ego’s still push us around…everyone’s effected by this particular disorder, some more, some less…it’s a part of our human nature, our machinery, our chemical or spiritual (?) makeup.

Ok, so instead of waiting for magnificent role models to show us how to over ride our egos, let’s take control over doing that for ourselves.

Why should we? Well, we can share so much more if we focus on what other people need, and stop worrying about what we’re getting back. I’m guessing that we (me included!) want to look ‘right’ so that we’ll get something back from others that will feel good, like attention, affection, a self esteem boost, etc…but there’s something called the “covalent bond”, found in water that allows its cellular makeup to attach to itself, to stay together. These molecules watch each other’s back! They are a family like no other!

If people thought about other people’s welfare in a similar way, then that magical circuitry will come around full circle, where everyone gets a dose of love. I find that I’m happiest when I don’t take inventory on what I’m getting back. Sharing unconditionally is such a joy when I do it without emotional strings attached. I have to keep an eye on myself though, because I too have an active ego, which I frequently have to beat down with a big stick. No one’s gonna do that for us & the result is that we’ll be there for each other…we’re in this world together! We’re made up of cells & molecules. I don’t see why we can’t share a covalent bond with each other if we put our conscious minds to it.

Yes we can! I’m in, are you?

We can’t pretend that we’re non-participants on this planet…so ok, let’s choose to remain alert & aware of our thoughts, and the feelings that come from them. Remember, our bodies have a built in thermostat allowing us to feel positive & negative responses…but that comes after, or as an effect of our choices, which begins with a thought. Conscious thought is the first step to everything that matters…

There is value to things & circumstances we don’t like, or choices we’ve made that didn’t work out for us.

Living life means making choices that seem good in the moment. None of us should be keeping inventory of each other’s mistakes, because there aren’t any.

Each adverse situation provides a new launching pad for creativity. They allow us to follow a path that makes more sense. With that, we can begin figuring out what we want…creating the rich feeling of Desire! Without Desire, we have no plan to follow!

How do we get pointed in the right direction? By getting up, dusting ourselves off & following our desire for what does work & feels right. Let’s not give any energy away to what doesn’t!

Every little micro thought matters…let’s choose wisely!

In our culture the beginning of a new year is celebrated (yay!), but it’s also used as a time for us to make improvements to our lives. We don’t have to wait for anything! Everyday is New! Our moments are our January 1st’s!

Change starts with a thought, which when feels right, morphs into an action. If we keep our thoughts simple then maybe it’ll be easier for us to stick to the personal improvement contract we make with ourselves.

I like moments because change occurs immediately in them…Gratification immediadante!

If we decide we want to lose weight, save money, clean our houses, give away stuff, create something, hang out with friends more, be kinder, change bad relationships, be more responsible, more loving toward family, spend time sharing…this is all positive stuff! So the thought here is to be happier & do good things & we know that we will feel happier when we do these things…now where’s the action?

Ideas like these are exciting because we know what’s right & wrong, good & bad…our body’s soul has a thermastat that registers these ideas into anticipated feelings…the pull toward that good feeling is what motivates us to take action…isn’t that amazing?

Change starts with a thought! What will you be thinking about? We can use our moments wisely by making sure our thoughts are doing some good, somehow. Let’s value our moments because they accumulate no matter what we do.

Let’s do it with commitment & gusto!

Happy everything,

I liked him better when he was a chub. I’ve been noticing this transformation since my high school days, when girls would return from summer vacation with a new nose, no glasses, less acne and all of a sudden spectacularly beautiful…physically. I love to see people look great but what’s interesting is that sometimes they becomes meaner and snobbier than they were when they were just a regular person. Is that human nature? For some, I guess… I also know people who were a lot nicer & had more fun when they had way less money. What’s that about?

The irony is that most of us want more…to look great, to have more money, etc…but what’s funny is that sometimes people are more miserable…but why? I don’t know, but one of my girlfriends, who’s kind of a who’s who, has noticed that people are becoming nicer now that we’re in a recession. I’m kinda noticing it too! Could it be that we don’t feel the need to compete over who has it all? Are we collectively figuring out that The Soul Needs No Money? I hope so.

Hopefully when things become economically better, the majority of people will continue to be nice. Mean people contribute nothing good to the positive collective energy of our environment. Their negative energy is a pollutant! Being nice is always chic.

There is no such thing as ugly, when someone is kind!
