Climate Change UK - HRH The Prince of Wales
In the UK, There is a Megastore named Tesco - that has been prominently labeling products with the Carbon footprint of that product, in its creation and processing, transport… this is done in conjunction with the Carbon Trust.
We have yet to see much of anything like this in America… if such stuff exists at all, its in the marketing signage and nowhere to be found on the product itself.
It would seem prudent to me, that products with true interest in global sustainability SHOULD have some sort of impact labeling along with its ingredients and expiration date, not just by compliance but because it defines an obvious comittment that i would choose, prefer and support.
Prince Charles has been ( along with Sting and many others ) promoting Rainforest issues for decades. Its almost shameful that it took as long as it has for the groundswell of global support for this issue to reach the awareness needed.

This is the PSA that Prince Charles refers to.
