AT CHANNING RESIDENCE ON AUGUST 2, 2009
A COUNTRY SUPPER CELEBRATING OUR LOCAL BOUNTY

make Through Farms and Fields a Unique East End Event
The Peconic Land Trust’s 7th Annual “Through Farms and Fields” Benefit, a
spectacular Country Supper at the residence of Molly and Walter Channing in
Bridgehampton, overlooking the vines of Channing Daughters Winery, and within the
wonderful sculpture garden of the Channings. This year’s dinner celebrates the local
bounty of the East End – from the wonderful salad greens and vegetables of our farms,
to the fresh fish from our shores, to the wonderful wines of our vineyards. Please join us
as we celebrate all the wonders we are so fortunate to enjoy and the people who make it
all happen – our farmers, our fishermen, and our winemakers.
“We are incredibly excited about this year’s event. Having the location of the Channings
sculpture gardens overlooking the vineyard and the support of our hosts Molly and
Walter, who could not be more generous, will make Through Farms and Fields a truly
magical evening in support of land conservation in our community,” said John v.H.
Halsey, President of the Peconic Land Trust.
The supper will feature local foods, prepared by Southampton caterer Thyme and
Again, and wines from Channing Daughters Winery. Joining our hosts for the evening –
Molly and Walter Channing and John v.H. Halsey ‐‐ is our event chair, Harriet H.
Dresher, a member of the Peconic Land Trust Board of Directors since 2007. Generous
support for the event has come from our sponsors: The Corcoran Group (for the fifth year
in a row), Bridgehampton National Bank, Tiffany & Co., Tommy Hilfiger, Treewise,
Artisan Mortgage Company, Bridgehampton Equity Group, Wines by Morrell,
Bridgehampton Florist, Joe and Liza’s Ice Cream, Camp Quinipet, and Edible East

And, we are also pleased to announce that James Lipton, host of Inside the Actors
Studio on Bravo, will be returning as Auctioneer for our distinctive Experience Auction

silent auction will include a wonderful array of unique and memorable experiences,
including: a private tour followed by cocktails and dinner at Bridge Gardens in
Bridgehampton; a hike and brunch at Wilson’s Grove in East Hampton; a weekend stay
at Winds Way in Jamesport with dinner, birding expedition and kayak tour; a tour and
cocktails at Old Westbury Gardens; private vineyard tours and wine tastings at north
and south fork vineyards; and a private tour of Shellfisher Preserve with an oyster and
beer tasting; among others.
Mr. Lipton will also be auctioning tickets to his highly acclaimed series, Inside the
Actors Studio along with a dinner at Almond NYC – a crowd favorite – as well as tickets
to the New York Friar’s Club’s Annual Sports Comedy Night honoring NY Rangers’
Adam Graves.
And Tiffany & Co. has donated for auction a spectacular diamond necklace – a vision to
behold.
